meet your therapist

The therapeutic relationship begins with two strangers. For clients, it can sometimes feel difficult and awkward to open up. To help break the ice, here are some facts about me:
Why I love being a therapist. It’s a true privilege to witness the moments of insight, courage, and change that unfold in therapy. Accompanying people as they come to understand and accept themselves more fully is one of the greatest honours of this work.

I have two dogs. They often make an appearance during sessions. They always maintain confidentiality and add a little extra warmth to our time together.
I believe music allows us to time travel. Songs have the power to transport us to specific moments, engaging our senses and evoking familiar feelings, faces, places, and even scents!

I love cooking. Creating new recipes helps me unwind, be present, and enjoy the process.

Hello, and welcome :)

I’m a psychotherapist dedicated to helping you find balance and resilience in your life. At the heart of my work is a collaborative and compassionate approach. I believe therapy is most effective when it’s grounded in genuine connection, and when we tailor the process to your unique needs and ways of experiencing the world. We all carry both thoughts and feelings, but many of us lean more strongly toward one or the other. You might find yourself analyzing and problem-solving, or feeling and expressing more intuitively. Wherever you tend to land, therapy with me is about meeting you there and expanding the ways you can understand yourself and your experiences.

Along the way, I integrate tools from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and psychodynamic approaches. I also draw on my training and experience as an experienced yoga teacher, incorporating mindfulness practices and somatic relaxation techniques to support both cognitive and emotion-focused exploration. This holistic way of working gives you a wider range of ways to understand yourself and move toward change.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent 10 years in sales and performance management roles in high-pressure corporate environments, where I personally experienced the toll of stress and burnout. That journey led me to mindfulness and yoga, and eventually to completing my master’s degree in counselling psychology. These experiences continue to shape how I show up with clients: grounded, empathetic, and open to exploring what works best for you.

With experience supporting clients through anxiety, burnout, self-worth, and relationship challenges, I’m here to help you develop skills, insight, and self-acceptance. These are the foundations that allow us to build greater resilience and face the inevitable challenges of life with more confidence and understanding. If you’re looking for a therapist who values openness, care, and collaboration, I’d love to work with you.
Take gentle care,
Kaylee
