  • Personal Health Information (PHI) is collected only through Jane, a secure, PHIPA- and PIPEDA‑compliant platform designed for therapy services.

2. How I Use Your Information

I use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries

  • Provide therapy services and related offerings (workshops, support groups)

  • Send updates (only if you opt in)

3. How I Protect Your Information

  • PHI is handled exclusively through Jane’s secure system.

  • Google Workspace is used for administrative purposes (such as scheduling and communication about services) under a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) to maintain PHIPA and PIPEDA compliance.

  • Lucky Mobile is used for business calls/texts for administrative purposes only. No PHI is sent through text or email.

4. Sharing of Information

Your information will never be sold or shared for marketing purposes. It is only shared when required by law or as necessary to provide services (e.g., between secure service platforms).

5. Retention of Personal Information

Client records are kept for:

  • Adults: at least 10 years after the last session

  • Minors: until the client reaches age 18 and at least 10 years have passed since the last session.
    After that, records are securely destroyed.

1. Use Jane for anything sensitive.

Please share health information only through Jane's secure platform.

 

2. General Inquiries and Communication

For non-sensitive matters like rescheduling appointments or general questions, feel free to contact me by text, call, or email. These methods are fine for general communication, but please avoid sending any PHI through them.

 

3. Be Mindful When Sharing Information

When reaching out, just keep in mind what you’re sharing, especially if it's through phone or email. For anything sensitive, I recommend using Jane to keep your information protected. If you're ever unsure, it’s always best to stick with Jane for peace of mind.
