Privacy Policy
1. Information I Collect
When you visit my website, I collect limited personal information through contact forms, such as your name, email address, and any additional details you choose to share. All sensitive health-related information (Personal Health Information or PHI) is handled through Jane, a secure platform designed for therapy services. For information about cookies and other data collected through this website, please refer to Wix's Privacy Policy.

2. How I Use Your Information
I use the information you provide to respond to inquiries, offer therapy services, and provide other services, such as support groups and company workshops. If you opt in, I may also send you information about upcoming offerings.

3. How I Protect Your Information
I use secure platforms like Jane and Google Workspace to store and manage your information. Personal Health Information (PHI) is handled exclusively through Jane, which ensures a high level of security and compliance with privacy standards. Google Workspace is used for administrative purposes, such as managing business communications. I have signed a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with Google, ensuring that your information is protected according to the standards required by PHIPA and PIPEDA. Fongo is used for general administrative tasks like appointment scheduling and confirmations. While Fongo uses standard encryption to protect calls, no personal health information (PHI) is discussed or shared via this platform.

4. Sharing of Information
I use Lucky Mobile for business phone calls and text messages, but only for administrative purposes, such as appointment rescheduling, confirmations, or general inquiries. PHI will not be communicated through these forms of communication. I also use Google email for communication related to administrative tasks, such as scheduling and general inquiries.

5. Retention of Personal Information
I retain client records for a minimum of 10 years after the last session for adult clients or until the client reaches the age of 18 if they are a minor at the time therapy ends. After this period, I securely dispose of any personal information that is no longer required for legal or business purposes.

Best Practices for Protecting Your Privacy
1. Limit PHI to Secure Platforms (Jane)
To protect your privacy, please share sensitive health-related information only through Jane. It’s a secure platform designed to keep your Personal Health Information (PHI) safe.
2. General Inquiries and Communication
For non-sensitive matters like rescheduling appointments or general questions, feel free to contact me by text, call, or email. These methods are fine for general communication, but please avoid sending any PHI through them.
3. Be Mindful When Sharing Information
When reaching out, just keep in mind what you’re sharing, especially if it's through phone or email. For anything sensitive, I recommend using Jane to keep your information protected. If you're ever unsure, it’s always best to stick with Jane for peace of mind.
